My kids are the greatest - they made me a Birthday cake with homemade frosting. It was a nice surprise after a day of shopping in North Carolina with my Mom.
Our friend, Julie told us about the Olde Tyme Marketplace. We were so glade that we finally had a day
that we could go check out her store. We had so much fun!!!
Beth, the owner is so sweet! She knew we had just come up from
South Carolina, so she offered us something to drink right away
and something to take away the headache Mom had in the excitement
of it all.
We are planning our next trip there for Feb. 2012 for my Moms
birthday. We spent so much time in her shop I thought she might start
charging us rent." Ha! Ha! "
We felt right at home it was so cozy! Her shop is in a beautiful historic building
in Marshville, N.C..
It was a pleasure meeting Beth and getting my picture with her on my
birthday.
Beth was kind enough to take our picture with our great finds loaded in my car.
While we were in the Charlotte area we also went to two antique malls. Beth also has booths in both malls with great stuff. We took pictures of her booths as well. You can check out her blog at Oldetymemarketplace.blogspot.com
Mom and I wish that we would have taken a picture of the car at the end of our day. With the seats folded down we packed it in my car tight. It was dark by the end of our day shopping so I didn't get a picture of the huge 500 booths antique mall that we went to last. We know now that one hour is not long enough for that awesome mall. We will be back for sure!!!
They were closing in one hour when we got there so Mom and I new we had to do some serious shopping. We were on a mission. We brought home some great finds some to keep- some to resell at the shop.
